JIMMIE D REDDEN, age 71, is at Peace now and went home with the Lord on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
Jimmie was born to parents Alfred Max Redden and Leota Marie (Tucker) on January 31, 1952 in Benkelman, Nebraska.
On September 7, 1974, Jim married Sharon Kay Duval in Wellfleet, NE. Two children were born to this union: Jon And Lea Redden.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Max Redden, and his mother, Leota Marie Tucker, a sister, Mary Ella Heiman and a brother, Carl Allen Redden.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Redden of North Platte, his two children Jon(Darcy)Redden of Tennessee and Lea Redden(Jeff Riggins) of North Platte, grandchildren Austin(Janie)Redden, Robey Redden, Ean(Kayla)Redden, Zaiden Riggins, and Alden Riggins; Great-grandkids Selah Redden, Levi Redden and Baby Redden due Nov. 2023; Two brothers, Alfred (Sharon) Redden, and Fred L Redden and a sister, Bessie (Philip) Woodard, and a host of other family members.
Jim enjoyed playing and watching many sports and helping with the youth programs. He was a giant Nebraska Husker fan, enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and doing handy work.
Jim was a hard worker and worked many trades in his lifetime that spanned from carpentry to well drilling to Railroad Carman and many things in-between.
We want to invite you to a Celebration of life to Honor Jim. It will be held November 4th 2023 in Wellfleet, NE at the Wellfleet community hall. Time will be 1-5pm and you may come and go as you like. We will have a Eulogy at the beginning, and we will be serving one of Jim’s favorites: Goulash. We ask if you would like to bring a salad or dessert to share we would be thankful. Please feel free to write and bring any thoughts or stories that can be shared.
