North Platte, Neb., October 16, 2023 – Platte River Rehab Medicine has officially  joined the Great Plains Health family. Starting on November 1, 2023, the clinic will  operate under its new name, Great Plains Health Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.  Dr. Caroline Sorenson, owner of Platte River Rehab Medicine, approached leadership  at Great Plains Health in early 2023 with the desire to partner.

This partnership prioritizes a team-based approach, expanded resources and future  development of services, which is important in the evolving healthcare landscape.

The clinic’s service offerings and phone number will remain the same. However, Great  Plains Health Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation will be located in a private suite at the  North Platte Health Pavilion, 611 W. Francis, Suite 200, North Platte, Neb.

“Physical medicine and rehabilitation services are valuable to our community,” said Ivan  Mitchell, Great Plains Health chief executive officer, said. “Our board of directors voted  to move forward with the partnership to ensure the continued healing and wellness of  the patients we serve.”

“Thank you for trusting Platte River Rehab Medicine, PC, with your care over the past  17 years,” Dr. Sorenson said. “Rest assured that our outstanding team will continue  serving you with exceptional care and attention at Great Plains Health Physical  Medicine & Rehabilitation.”
