North Platte, Neb - The National Weather Service office in North Platte is continuing to monitor the winter storm pushing through the region today. 2-4 inches is expected in the North Platte area with another 1-2 possible tonight before the storm ends. In the Keith County area the NWS says to expect 3-5 inches during the day Friday.
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for much of western Nebraska. Snow continues today and lasts through Saturday afternoon and will lead to visibility restrictions and snow packed roads, making travel very difficult. If out after the holiday, continue to monitor the forecast for the latest information.
