Frontier County - Two are dead following a fatal head-on collision over the weekend in Frontier County, according to officials.

At approximately 12:45 am Saturday, an off-duty Trooper came upon a 2-vehicle collision that had occurred on Highway 83, approximately 6 miles south of Maywood. Additional troopers, Frontier County deputies, and EMS responded.

Preliminary investigation shows that a Ford Explorer, driven by Douglas Horn, 66, of Curtis, was northbound on Highway 83 when it crossed the center line and struck a southbound Mazda 6, driven by Jenna Cox, 24, of Hastings. Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
