Ogallala, Neb. - Firework sales begin in Ogallala on Sunday and the Ogallala Police Department wants to remind residents rules and regulations for discharging fireworks in city limits.
Fireworks will go on sale in the town on Sunday, June 30th and will be on sale until the 4th. The Police Department says fireworks in the city limits can be discharged on June 30th - June 3rd from 8:00am - 10:00pm and on the 4th can be discharged from 8:00am - 11:59pm.
The police department states it's unlawful to discharge fireworks within 300 feet of a fireworks stand, gas station, or any commercial area where flammable materials are stored. It is also unlawful to discharge fireworks in any public park.
