Scottsbluff Police Department responds to rollover accident over the weekend

  On Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at approximately 7:47 PM, Scottsbluff Police Department responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover accident in Scottsbluff on Hwy 26 approximately 450 feet east of the Hwy 26 and East 27th Street intersection. The investigation revealed that Logan Gomez, age 18 of Minatare, was westbound on Hwy 26 approaching the intersection with East 27th Street, driving a Red 1990 Mazda pickup. The vehicle lost control and left the roadway rolling onto its passenger side ending up in the median of Hwy 26.

A female passenger of similar age was also present in the vehicle. Both driver and passenger were wearing their seatbelts and no injuries were reported. Icy road conditions were a contributing factor. Traffic on Hwy 26 was diverted for approximately 45 minutes. Scottsbluff Police Department was assisted on scene by Scottsbluff Fire Dept, Valley Ambulance Service, and Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Deputies.
