(McCook, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin March 18 on N-18, on the bridge at reference post 0.35, over Medicine Creek just south of Curtis and the bridge at reference post 10.75, over Medicine Creek just east of Stockville, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Simons Contractors, Inc. of North Platte is the contractor for this project. Work includes bridge replacement, grading, asphalt overlay, earth shoulder construction, and seeding. Traffic will be maintained with lane restrictions, temporary traffic signals for bridge work, and pilot car and flaggers. A 10-foot width restriction will be in effect at the bridges for the duration of the project. Anticipated completion is June 2025.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
