North Platte Standoff ends with suspect in police custody

The suspect from the Friday evening standoff has been identified as Marshall Gallegos and is currently being charged with Aggravated Assault-Police Officer, Flight To Avoid-Prosecution, Confinement, Etc, Willful Reckless Driving, Obstructing A Peace Officer, Resisting Arrest. He is currently lodged in Lincoln County Jail.

North Platte, Neb. - A standoff in North Platte ends with one suspect in police custody. 

According to reports and scanner traffic, a suspect barricaded himself in a home near West 5th Street and North Sheridan Avenue around 5:30 pm. Reports say the suspect was fleeing from police in a high-speed pursuit and ran inside the home. 

Roads around the area were blocked off by local law enforcement. Local law enforcement on scene included the North Platte Police Department and the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department as well the Nebraska State Patrol assisting with the situation.
