(old post) North Platte, Ne - As darkness falls on the plains Tuesday, Interstate 80 has now been closed along with Highway 30 both directions from Lexington all the way to Wyoming Border, I-76 is also closed from Big Springs to Sterling, Colorado this evening. There is no word on when the roads will reopen, but it's hard to imagine they will open until Wednesday morning. A Blizzard warning is in effect until 6am CST/5am MST.
Most roads in northeastern Colorado are now completely closed. Officials in both states are urging motorists to stay home this evening and off roads as emergency crews are spread thing trying to get to many of the accidents that have happend becasuse of weather today.
