Ogallala hoops radio coverage tonight vs Alliance

OGALLALA - Friday night hoops tonight for our Sandhills Post Area Game of the Week features the Ogallala Indians battling with the Alliance Bulldogs. Tonight's contest will be featured on Flatrock 100.7 FM or online by clicking here. 

The Ogallala Lady Indians (7-6) are looking to bounce back in the win column after falling to a tough opponent on Tuesday against Class B Scottsbluff 46-34. Ogallala sophomore Hayden Shaw had a team high of 7 points in the contest. Senior Aelyn Cain finished with 6 points, senior Marlee Ervin had 5. The Indians are 3-0 in the C1 District 11 standings with wins over Cozad, Hershey and Chase County.  

The Alliance Lady Bulldogs (5-7) are looking for their second straight victory this week after they defeated Gordon-Rushville 46-35 on Tuesday. Des Moines Area Community College volleyball commit Jaelynne Clark is averaging 12.9 ppg this season. Senior Ciara Hudson is averaging 8.2 ppg. Clark and Hudson both have a team high of 7.5 rpg. 

On the boy's side, the Indians (13-1, #8 in C-1) are looking to get back in the groove of a winning streak. Last Friday, the Sidney Red Raiders defeated the Indians in double overtime 68-60. On Tuesday, Ogallala had a close battle with #4 Scottsbluff (Class B) but pulled out on top 71-65. The Bearcats, who trailed by 17 in the third quarter made a late run to cut the lead down to 4 in the fourth quarter, but the Indians free throw secured the victory. Senior Caden Rezac had a team high of 19 points and sophomore Sawyer Smith finished with 14 points. 

The Alliance Bulldogs (5-7) defeated Gordon-Rushville on Tuesday in dominating fashion, 73-18. Three Bulldogs finished with double digits in scoring led by sophomore Espen Lanik who had 21 points, junior Seth Meyring finished with 13 and senior Tristen Timbers had 12. Alliance started the year off 0-3 but have got the engine turning. 

Tonight's game will be on Flatrock 100.7 or online by clicking here. Our Kwik Stop pregame shows will be hosted by Canon Rath as coverage for the girl's game begins at 5:20pm MT/6:20pm CT with tipoff scheduled for 5:30pm MT/6:30pm CT. The boys are set to follow 20 minutes after the girls contest. Tonight's broadcast will be called by Alliance's Eagle Media News/Sports Director Alex Benzegala.
