  On October 21, 2023, at the age of 88, Levaun "Sis" Beyer passed away at her home in North Platte surrounded by her family.
She was born in Great Bend, KS, on July 4, 1935, to Howard and Della Hand.  After moving to North Platte in 1947, she attended NPHS then got married.
On September 30, 1951, Sis married Richard "Dick" Beyer in North Platte.  They had four children and lived in a home Dick built.
Sis worked for Economy Glass, Beyer's Curtis-Mathis, then the North Platte Public Library until retiring.
Sis had a special place in her heart for cats and dogs.  She was a founding member of Paws-itive Partners and active with them for many years and she and Dick frequently transported rescue dogs to Colorado. She was a great wife, mother and caregiver to Dick.  She especially loved her kids and grandkids and will be greatly missed.
Sis was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Vernon Vance and Derald and wife, Pauline Hand; brother-in-law, Don Beyer; and parents-in-law, Jes and Pearl Beyer.
  Survivors include her children, Jim Beyer of Beaver Crossing and Mitch(Amy) Beyer, Marty Beyer (Julie) and Chris Beyer, and her brother, Jim "JC" Hand (Twila), all of North Platte; grandchildren, David Turner (Stacie), Paul Turner, Nate Turner (Sally), CJ Beyer (Helena), Drew Beyer (Hannah), Jadelyn Beyer and Tristen Beyer; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Ana, Bethany, Brayden and Eithyn Turner, Callen Beyer and Nolan Turner; great great-grandson, Brantley Turner; sisters-in-law, Sheila Welch of Katy, TX, and Betty Vance of Bettendorf, IA; as well as many other family. 

Services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, at Bethel E Free Church with Pastor Geoff Safford officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is Wednesday from 10 a.m. to6 p.m. and with family greeting from 4-6 p.m.  at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.  Memorials are suggested to Paws-itive Partners.  Online condolences may be shared atodeanchapel.com.
