As winter weather is still looming in the area, The Nebraska Department of Transportation says I-80 eastbound and westbound is now closed from Ogallala to Grand Island.

According to NDOT, HWY 30 is now open in both directions. Different sections of HWY 30 are considered partial with snow and completely covered with ice and snow. NDOT recommends highway 30 to be used for local traffic.

Travel is not advised as NDOT crews are working hard to get the roads cleared. If traveling, travel at a slow speed and distance between cars.  The Nebraska State Patrol announced today that they have responded to over 200 weather-related incidents.
