Residents will have an opportunity to hear directly from local candidates ahead of the November general election during a candidate forum hosted by the Keith County Chamber on Monday, October 26, in Ogallala.
The forum is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Prairie Theatre, located at 208 N. Spruce St. The event will be available to attend in person or online.
Candidates invited to participate include those running for Ogallala City Council and Keith County Attorney.
The Ogallala City Council candidates are Steven Krajewski and Chris Laflan, both incumbents, and challenger Cody White.
The Keith County Attorney race features incumbent Randy Fair and challenger Rory Roundtree.
According to the Chamber, each candidate has been invited to attend and will have equal time to share their responses and positions. Organizers emphasized that the event is a forum rather than a debate, giving candidates an opportunity to explain their views and helping voters learn more about the people seeking to represent them.
The Chamber encourages residents to take part in the forum and make their voices heard in the November 3 general election.
