Larry Hardy age 83 of Seneca, NE passed away on April 19, 2024, at The Maples at Centennial in North Platte, NE.
Larry Clinton Hardy was born December 26, 1940, in Alliance, NE to Clinton and Gentry (Burton) Hardy. Larry grew up in the Seneca area and attended grade school in Seneca, then attended high school at Thedford High School.
On February 5, 1962, Larry was united in marriage to Nina Ann Murphy in Julesburg, CO. After getting married the couple ranched in the Seneca area, then sold the ranch in the early 80’s. Larry drove truck for many years and had his trucking company Hardy Trucking and did carpentry work with his son Bo as Universal Contractors. The couple lived in various places, Merna, Brady, and Arnold, and in 1996 they returned to Seneca.
Larry’s greatest love was being a musician, he played the guitar and sang. He gave private lessons helping people get started in music. Larry played many benefits and County Fairs, even opening for Lori Morgan and Neil McCoy. Larry played with Roger McGooden in Larry's band Blue Ribbon Country.
Larry is survived by his wife Nina of Seneca, daughter Gennie (Ryan) Smith of Tryon, son Bo Hardy of Seneca, 11 grandchildren Tisha Jo, Tiffany, Eli, Aevyn, Elly, Gabby, Maddox, Amber, Ashley, Joshua, and James, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, son Larry Hardy in 2010, three brothers Burton, Robert, and John, and a grandson Trent Hardy.
