&nbsp; The North Platte Police Department is teaming up with the National Highway Safety Traffic Safety Administration to remind drivers to designate a sober driver or use ride share if they are planning on celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with alcohol. 

 According to NHSTA, forty-seven people were killed in drunk driving crashes in 2021, nation-wide.  Additional officers from the North Platte Police Department will be on the street during the St. Patrick’s Day celebration and their primary focus will be taking impaired drivers off the road.&nbsp;&nbsp;
