NPCC concert will focus on “positive psychology”

North Platte Community College’s music department will host its first concert of the spring semester March 7 with a focus on positive psychology.

The event is free and open to the public. It will begin at 7 p.m. in the McDonald-Belton Theater on the NPCC South Campus, 601 W. State Farm Rd., in North Platte.

The concert will feature performances by NPCC’s jazz band, the Jazzy Knights, and the college’s choir, the Knightly Singers.

The following musicians will be showcased:

  1. Gothenburg - Dustin Cartmill, Forrest Millsap
  1. Imperial - LaReina Colton
  1. McCook - Trenton Emmons
  1. North Platte – Morgan Greenwood, Don Kurre, Breanna Lundgreen, Lisa Picket, Cai Simpson, Anja Tejral

Selections will include: “Blue Skies,” “In the Mood,” “Happy,” “Dream” and “True Colors” among many others.
