The North Platte Community Playhouse and North Platte Community College are teaming up once again for the 2026-27 musical season and are inviting performers of all ages and experience levels to audition for three upcoming productions.

Open auditions for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and My Fair Lady will be held Sept. 14-16 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Canteen Room at the Fox Theatre, 301 E. Fifth St. in North Platte.

Those interested in performing may audition for one, two or all three productions during the September auditions. A prepared song is preferred but is not required. Directors and musical directors for all three productions will be present.

The upcoming season will feature opportunities for experienced performers as well as those taking the stage for the first time, with roles available for children, adults and ensemble members.

The season will open with the NPCC/NPCP collaborative production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, directed by Ritch Galvan. The musical, featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, will be performed Nov. 13-15 and Nov. 20-21. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin Sept. 22, with casting needs for 13 to 20 adults and six to eight children.

Next will be You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, based on the Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz and directed by Jessica Shore. Performances are scheduled for Feb. 12-14 and Feb. 19-21, with rehearsals beginning Dec. 18. The production is seeking two women, four men and eight extras. Additional auditions will be held Nov. 23-24, 2026.

The season will conclude with My Fair Lady, directed by Bea Webster. Performances are set for April 9-11 and April 16-18, with rehearsals expected to begin in late February. The production will cast six women, 10 men and an ensemble, with an additional audition scheduled for Feb. 16, 2027.

Casting for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and My Fair Lady will be finalized approximately one week before rehearsals begin. Audition and rehearsal dates are subject to change.

Anyone unable to attend the September auditions but interested in being considered for a role may contact the director of the production they are interested in or call the North Platte Community Playhouse office at 308-532-8559.

Through their continued partnership, NPCC and NPCP are working to expand opportunities for students, community members and theater enthusiasts to take part in and experience live musical theater in North Platte.
