The Ogallala City Council will meet Tuesday, July 14, at 7 p.m. at City Hall with a full agenda that includes a public hearing on a proposed food vendor ordinance, airport lease agreements, wastewater infrastructure improvements and an update on the city's search for a new city manager.

Following the consent agenda, council members will hold a public hearing on a proposed food vendor ordinance. The agenda does not include additional details about the proposal, but the hearing will provide an opportunity for public input before the council considers any action.

The council will also review the city's June financial report before considering several recommendations from departments, boards and committees. Those include renewal of the city's League Association of Risk Management coverage for 2026-27, an airport attendant agreement for Searle Field, and a terminal, fuel farm and hangar lease agreement with ROKI, LLC.

Additional business includes the Ogallala Housing Authority's annual report, consideration of a declared nuisance property at 1001 East 1st Street, a change order for improvements to the city's wastewater SCADA system, and a professional services agreement with JEO Consulting Group for wastewater treatment facility improvements.

The meeting will also include reports from the city attorney and city manager. The city manager's report is expected to include updates on the ongoing search for Ogallala's next city manager as well as current city projects. Council members will conclude the meeting with their individual reports before adjournment. Members of the public will have an opportunity to address the council during the public forum portion of the meeting.
