(Ainsworth, Neb.) — Weather permitting, micro-surfacing work will begin Aug. 19 on N-61 north of Merriman, beginning at US-20 and proceeding north from reference post 225.86to reference post 231.53, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Missouri Petroleum. of St. Louis, Mo. has the contract. Work will continue on US-20 west of Merriman from reference post 118.25 to reference post 126.64. Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers. Anticipated completion is Sept. 2024.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
