Investigation underway into the killing of a horse in southwest Nebraska

Red Willow County - Over the weekend a horse was shot in killed in southwest Nebraska and law enforcement officials are seeking public information about the incident for witnesses or suspects.  

According to a post made on social media by Red Willow County Sheriff Kevin Darling, a 14-year-old pregnant mare was shot and killed sometime between Friday evening and Saturday morning. The incident took place south of road 715 and east of 384, which is outside of McCook.
