Clara Amanda Legas, age 62, of Fullerton, NE, formerly of North Platte, died July 17, 2026 at the Fullerton Care Center. She was born on February 25, 1964 to Nicholas William and Esther Marie (Carland) Legas. She attended ESU 16 in the '60’s and '70’s.
Clara was a special person with an imaginative sense of humor. She loved music, watching TV and the Nebraska Cornhusker football games. She was always very concerned for her family, and especially loved her brother Chris. After the deaths of the rest of her family, she was worried about being the last one surviving in her family, but she was the one who left too soon.
Clara is survived by her brother, Chris (Bobbie) Legas of North Platte; and many nieces, grand-nieces, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Rosemary Legas Schrotberger; brothers, Nick, George, Jerry, James, and Donald; and a very special aunt, Clara (Carland) Negley. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Fort McPherson National Cemetery with Pastor Ned Cooper officiating. Visitation will be from noon-7, with family present 5-7, Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
