
Sherri Renee Pickard, 48, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away on May 15, 2026, in North Platte. She was born on September 28, 1977, in Kearney, Nebraska, to Jack and Roxann Pickard.
Sherri was a graduate of North Platte High School and lived her life with a joyful and loving spirit. She truly enjoyed every aspect of life and found happiness in the simple things. She had a special love for Red Lobster biscuits and good food, and she was rarely without her favorite Diet Pepsi. Sherri also found comfort in listening to the sound of bullfrogs and cherished those quiet, peaceful moments.
She was known for her kind heart and welcoming nature—Sherri never met a stranger and always greeted others with a warm smile, even on her hardest days. Her positivity and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Sherri is survived by her special sister, Robin, and her soon-to-be brother-in-law, Jamie Thomson, whom she was especially excited to welcome into the family. She is also lovingly remembered by her Uncle Tom, Lana, Tracey and Joel, as well as several cousins and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Roxann Pickard.
Sherri will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her bright spirit, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Odean Colonial Chapel in North Platte. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Odean Colonial Chapel in North Platte, with burial to follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, also in North Platte.
