North Platte Community Playhouse awarded a grant from the Nebraska Arts Council

The North Platte Community Playhouse announced that it has been awarded a grant of $11,310 by the Nebraska Arts Council. This grant will support the basic operations of the organization.

Nebraska Arts Council Executive Director Suzanne Wise commented, "The North Platte Community Playhouse contributes a great deal to the advancement of the arts in North Platte. We commend the work being done by organizations such as the North Platte Community Playhouse because the arts are important to the education and quality of life for all Nebraskans."

The North Platte Community Playhouse ignites the imagination of artists and audiences of all ages through the performing arts at the historic Fox Theatre, which anchors the arts district, acts as a community gathering space, and provides economic impact through tourism. For 95 years, the Fox Theatre has been lighting up downtown North Platte and the hearts of our audiences with live theatre productions, movies, community concerts, Town Hall lectures, Children's Theatre, and many more community events which entertain, enrich, and enlighten our lives. It's where the community gathers to enjoy high-quality entertainment.

The Nebraska Arts Council (NAC), is a state agency, that provides numerous grants, services, and special initiatives to help sustain and promote the arts throughout Nebraska. NAC is supported by the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
