On January 11, 1980, Byron and Olinda (Odean) Boslau were blessed with a lovable baby boy whom they named Bradlee.  Bradlee brought great joy to his parents as he was naturally curious and always happy.  He also opened them up to a new world of parenthood and later, Special Olympics.

Brad lived his whole life in Lincoln and went on to graduate with the Lincoln High School Class of 1999.  His life was full of activities, from roller skating and track and field events to swimming and trips with his parents.  Going to Florida every January was a special time; Bradlee loved spending his birthdays at Disney World, Universal Studios and Gatorland.  He never tired of riding roller coasters or spending hours at the parks.

Brad was always on the go and active, especially with YMCA and Special Olympics.  He participated in many events over the years and has quite a collection of ribbons and medals for his achievements.

As a family, the Boslaus were devoted Husker fans.  They loved sitting courtside at volleyball matches and watching football games from the Sky Box.  Brad was well known amongst the athletes he cheered for and if he wasn't cheering, he was getting something to eat.

Bradlee was loved by all his family and friends.  He passed away at home under the special care of his guardians, Greg Odean and Robin Barrett, on March 5, 2024, at the age of 44.  He is now reunited in heaven with his parents, Byron and Olinda Boslau; grandparents, Hank and Aladine Boslau and Ollie and Alice Odean; and other family members.

Brad is survived by his uncle, Rick Odean (Dodie) of North Platte; his many cousins including Greg Odean (Robin Barrett) of Lincoln and Josh Odean (Heather) of Matthews, NC; his special friends, the Wisdom Family; and other family and friends.

Visitation is Saturday, March 9, from 12-6 p.m. and with family present from 4-6 p.m. at Ropers & Sons, 4300 East O Street, Lincoln.

Services will be held at Odean Colonial Chapel in North Platte at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 11, with Pastor Mark Baldwin officiating. Visitation is prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery.  For those unable to attend, services will be recorded and posted to odeanchapel.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are to Nebraska Special Olympics.  Arrangements are with Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore and Roper & Sons.  Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.
