Aug. 27, 2024 (North Platte, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin Sept. 3 on I-80, from reference post 106.31 to reference post 115.49, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Scodeller Construction, Inc., of Wixom, Mich., is the contractor for this project. Work includes sawing and sealing pavement joints, penetrating concrete sealer, and permanent pavement marking. Traffic will be maintained with lane closures. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is spring 2025.
The purpose of these projects is to preserve the transportation asset, improve the reliability of the transportation system, and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
