Lake McConaughy - The yearly fan favorite event Kites & Castles event is scheduled for July 27th at Lake McConaughy.
Registration is not required but it is encouraged according to the Keith County Chamber. This free event features four classes: family, open, kids (0-14) and students (15-22). Participants who register early for the event, the registration form needs to be emailed to [email protected] or mail the form to 119 East 2nd Street, Ogallala, NE 69153.
The event, which begins July 27th, will begin at 11:00am (MT) with the registration process at Martin Bay. 12:00pm (MT) is when the building begins. Judging will start at 4:00pm (MT) and awards will be announced at 5:00pm (MT).
The event is free, guests will still need to obtain a Nebraska Game and Parks pass to gain access to the beach. Eagle Media and Sandhills Post will be LIVE on location from 10:00 am (MT) - 12:00pm (MT). For rules and regulations and more, check out the graphics below.
