Families 1st Partnership
Local business owners and workers are invited to complete a survey on transportation needs. This is one more step towards getting community feedback on how residents are getting where they need to go. Several local organizations and community leaders have spent the last seven months taking a close look at local transportation services, transportation models in other communities, local needs, and challenges.
They have received input from social service organizations, medical facilities, schools, Enterprise VanPool, and NE Department of Transportation.
Transportation needs have long been a concern in the area. It can be the main barrier to maintaining employment, meeting school attendance requirements, and running errands for basic living needs. It is also a problem that has few quick fixes. The group intends to be proactive in looking for solutions so the needs of a growing population can be met efficiently and effectively.
The business can provide the employee survey to their employees. The projected summary of survey results is March 29th.
