Gering, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin Oct. 23 on I-80 exit 59, from reference post 61 to reference post 57, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
IES Commercial, Inc. of Kearney is the contractor for this project. Work includes replacing the high mast light poles and adding additional lights. Traffic will be maintained with lane restrictions and temporary lane closures. Anticipated completion is November 2023.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
