North Platte, Neb. - Officers with the North Platte Police Department participated in the 2024 Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over traffic enforcement campaign from August 16th to September 2nd, 2024. One Hundred seventy-seven traffic contacts were made.
Of the 177 traffic contacts, 56 citations were issued. Fifteen citations were issued for speeding. Four citations were issued for Reckless/Careless driving. Seven people were arrested for DUI. One minor was cited for MIP. One arrest was made for possession of marijuana. One person was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, & ten fugitive warrants were served.
