🏀 CSC Men's Basketball Schedule Notes

CHADRON, Neb. – Three non-conference home games, back-to-back rematches of last season's most dramatic contests and four of the final six games at home are some of the highlights from the official 2025-26 schedule for Chadron State men's basketball.
The Eagles will be coming off of a 15-14 overall season, with an 11-9 RMAC record. The team also made an appearance in the playoffs last year, finishing eighth and losing 79-74 in the RMAC Tournament quarter finals to No. 5 Colorado School of Mines.
Head Coach Chris Francis returns for his second season but brings back only two returning players from last year's roster – senior guard Zach Smith and redshirt freshman Jackson Schauer.
Chadron State will host three non-conference home games at the Chicoine Center against University of Mary on Wednesday, November 19, Northern State University on Saturday, November 22 and Colorado Christian University on Sunday, November 30.
The matchup against Mary will tip off at 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon and will be "Kids Day" with local elementary school children in attendance. Northern State will play at 1 p.m. and Colorado Christian will play at 1:30 p.m.
Chadron State will open the season playing two non-conference games against West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas on Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15, before returning for their first home game.
The Eagles will face Minnesota State, the 2024 Division II national champions, for a non-conference game Saturday, November 22 in Sioux Falls, S.D. right after the Eagles face the University of Sioux Falls on Friday, November 21.
RMAC games will be on Thursdays and Saturdays. The Eagles will play their first RMAC game in a rivalry matchup against Black Hills State in Spearfish, S.D. on December 4 at 7 p.m. The first home RMAC is two days later against South Dakota Mines on December 6 at 3 p.m.
Other home highlights include another rivalry game against Black Hills January 27 at 7 p.m. and back to back home games against MSU Denver and Colorado School of Mines, giving the Eagles a chance to respond to last season's finish at the buzzer against the Roadrunners and playoff loss to the Orediggers. Chadron State will face MSU Denver at 7 p.m. February 12 and Colorado School of Mines at 3 p.m. on February 14, starting a stretch of four home games out of six to end the year.

CHADRON, Neb. – Two Division I exhibitions, two in-state rivalry matchups and four of the final six games at home are some of the highlights from the official 2025-26 schedule for Chadron State women's basketball.
The 2025-26 season will be the first under new leadership for the program, with former Chadron State men's assistant and CSU Pueblo women's assistant Jalen Little taking the helm of the program for his first head coaching job.
Little's 2025 squad features four holdover players from last year's Eagles roster – junior guard Jordyn Stokes, senior forward McKenzi Petersen, redshirt junior guard Camren Morris and redshirt freshman forward Alex Ridenour, who missed last season with a knee injury but is poised to return to the court at some point in 2025-26.
Little and his team will take the court at the Chicoine Center for the first time on Saturday, December 6 against South Dakota Mines at 1 p.m. Chadron State's RMAC opener is two days before, when the Eagles travel to Spearfish to take on Black Hills State on Thursday, December 4 at 5 p.m.
The Eagles will open the season with a pair of nonconference matchups against Oklahoma Christian on Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16 before taking on Wayne State on Saturday, November 22.
Like last year, Chadron State will take on two Division I programs in exhibition games, meaning the result will not count in Chadron State's win-loss record. The Eagles will face the University of Wyoming on Tuesday, November 25 and the University of Northern Colorado on Friday, November 28.
The final two nonconference matchups of the year happen just before Christmas, when the Eagles travel to face Nebraska-Kearney on Tuesday, December 16 and Fort Hays State on Friday, December 19.
Once again, RMAC contests will be played on Thursdays and Saturdays this season. Among the home highlights during the RMAC schedule – a homestand against Little's former school (CSU Pueblo) and the reigning RMAC Tournament champions (UCCS) on December 11-13, a home rivalry game against Black Hills State on January 27 and two home games on the last week of the regular season, when the Eagles host Western Colorado on February 26 and Westminster on February 28.
