The Ogallala City Council will meet for its regular session Tuesday, April 14, at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

The meeting will begin with roll call and approval of the consent agenda, which includes minutes from the March 24 meeting, the resignation of Cory Waychoff from the Ogallala Volunteer Fire Department, and appointments to the Ogallala Tree Board. Council members will also consider approval of a mobile home park license for Ogallala MHP LLC at 1605 North Spruce Street and a right-of-way contractor license for Joe Hyland.

Several items are scheduled under the public forum portion of the meeting. The council will recognize Jarrod Curtis for 25 years of service, hear a comprehensive plan presentation, and consider a request for reimbursement from Shawn and Alyson Coffman for sidewalk repairs related to a street collapse. An impounded vehicle case involving Haluk Gorgun will also be discussed.

The city clerk-treasurer will present the financial report for March 2026.

Under new business, council members will consider multiple administrative and infrastructure-related items, including participation in the League Insurance Government Health Team program and updates to the city’s job title and salary range table.

Airport improvements are also on the agenda, with consideration of a resolution approving an agency agreement with the Nebraska Department of Transportation’s Division of Aeronautics. The agreement is tied to a federal funding request for airport development projects.

Planning and zoning items include two separate resolutions related to installing underground fiber optic cable within city right-of-way for Allo Communications. The council will also consider applying for the State of Nebraska Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.

The meeting will conclude with reports from the city attorney, city manager, and city council members before adjournment.
