Denver, Colo. -- Facing its second road test of the season, No. 7 Creighton Men's Soccer remained undefeated with a 1-0 win over Denver on Tuesday, September 22. The victory moved the Bluejays to 8-0-2 on the season, while Denver fell to 1-6-1.
A defensive battle saw the two squads head into halftime scoreless. During the opening stanza Denver held a slight edge on shots at 5-4.
Sophomore Ayden Kokoszka provided the lone goal of the match in dazzling fashion as he sent a free kick from 20 yards out along the right sideline into the back of the net untouched. Kokoszka's shot found the back corner of the net, beating Denver goalkeeper Alex Hohl in the 68th minute (67:34). It was Kokoszka's fifth goal of the season.
Creighton returns home briefly before going to Milwaukee, Wis. to face Marquette on Saturday, September 26 at 6 pm.
