Lincoln County - The Nebraska Land Days Celebration have come to an end, as has the special overtime enforcement conducted by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. June11th through June 24th Deputies worked Overtime hours to enforce speed and alcohol compliance in Lincoln County.
Sheriff Deputies conducted 184 stops that resulted in 82 citations. 5 drivers were arrested for Driving Under the Influence with one of those drivers also facing additional charges of leaving the scene of an accident, procuring alcohol to a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and willful reckless driving. A second driver was also charged with obstruction and resisting arrest. 4 subjects were arrested for outstanding warrants. One arrest was made for Disturbing the Peace.
Additional citations were issued for the following:
Speeding 46, No Registration 20, No Operators License 10, Minor in Possession of Alcohol 6, Careless Driving 1, Disobeying Stop Light 2, No Proof of Ownership 4, Misuse of Learners Permit 1, Misuse of School Permit 1, Driving Under Suspension 1, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2, Possession of Marijuana 3, Open Container 2, Fictitious Plates 4, No Insurance 5, Driving Left of Center 3, Fail to Signal 1, No Helmet 1.
Deputies assisted 7 motorists during this time frame.
