Shayne Sprague was born December 9, 1963, in Kansas City, MO, to Dean and Carrie Sprague.  He died at home in Brady on March 8, 2024, at the age of 60.

Shayne grew up and went to school in North Platte, then later owned and operated Shayne's Heating and AC business for many years, but he was really a jack of all trades.  He had a strong work ethic and wanted everything to be done right.

Shayne was a loving and loyal son to his parents who he cared for and respected. He cultivated a unique, special relationship with each of his three daughters.  Shayne taught them to be independent, confident, honest and to know their worth. They were everything to him, and he never failed to show them that. He was an extraordinary father and loving grandfather.

Shayne loved animals, especially dogs and unconditionally loved his own.  He even kept dog treats in his work van and sometimes in his pockets for those he met along his path. He also loved his music, photography, nature and writing from his heart.

On his journey here on earth, Shayne brightened the lives of many.  He always had a smile and a joke.  He loved people and was willing to give the shirt off his back to help a stranger.  Shayne was a "tough guy" with a huge, soft heart of gold.  We love and miss him, but we know he is in a better place.

Survivors include his mother, Carrie Sprague; his wife, Jessica Sprague; daughters, Tessa Pandil (Jordan), Lacey Sprague, and Danielle Kleinow (Ben Orcutt) ; his brother, Scott Sprague; grandchildren, Gracelyn Orcutt, Kaelyn Bergmann and CeCie and Everett Pandil; mother-in-law, Dianne Christophersen; brother-in-law, Art Christophersen (Salena); and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

Shayne was preceded in death by his father, Dean Sprague, sister, Shannon Anderson; father-in-law, Dennis Christophersen; and brother-in-law, Tim Christophersen.

Cremation was chosen and services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 15, at the Salvation Army in North Platte.  A snack/dessert potluck will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Jessica for financial support; 116 S Harrison St. Brady NE, 69123 or VENMO - @Jessica-Sprague-86558 0277
