Dorothy Schwartz, 93, formerly of Chappell passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 in Greeley, Colorado.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chappell with Reverend Neil Carlson officiating. Burial will follow in the Chappell Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time Wednesday at the church.

Dorothy was born in Denver, CO, March 14th 1930. Her parents were Albert and Helen (Schwynoch) Huston of Julesburg, CO. She attended school at Sedgwick County High School in Julesburg as well as worked at Shaw’s Bakery.
She was united in marriage to Myron Schwartz in Chappell Sept. 7th, 1947. To this union they had four children: Myra Lynne, LeAnne Helen, Darrel William and Dennis Duane. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Myron and Dorothy farmed from 1947 to 2003 east of Chappell on the Schwartz family farm. She also worked at the Bonus Shop and Gambles hardware for several years. She loved sewing, cooking and spending time socializing. Active in the church with Sunday school, many school activities and later provided daycare for several children in the community.
Dorothy was loved and cherished by her friends and family. She will be dearly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Schwartz; daughter, LeAnne Sewald; son-in-law, Michael Potter Sr; her parents Albert and Helen Huston.
She is survived by her children: Myra Potter, Darrel Schwartz (Kathy), Dennis Schwartz. Grandchildren Michelle, Melissa, Michael, Tyler, Trevor, Kalie, Kyle, Erin, Emilee and Nicholas. Great-grandchildren: Marcus, James, Sam, Shawn, Amanda, Alexis, Jayson, Taya, David, Ava and Aunikah. As well as six great-great-grandchildren: Michael, Jaxton, Thomas, Breanna, Broedyand Paislee.
