Ogallala Council to Vote on Ambulance Agreement, Review Tree Board and YMCA Updates

OGALLALA, Neb. — The Ogallala City Council will hold its regular meeting Tuesday, October 28, at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 411 East 2nd Street. Residents are welcome to attend and view materials discussed during the session.

The agenda includes routine business such as approval of claims, and the minutes from the council’s October 14 meeting. The Ogallala Volunteer Fire Department will also note the resignation of Connor Jantz.

During the public forum, representatives from PeopleService Inc. and the YMCA will provide updates on ongoing projects and activities, including the third quarter 2025 report from the YMCA.

Council members will review several departmental and committee recommendations, including:

  1. Administration’s presentation of the League Insurance Government Health Team annual welfare benefits (Res. 2318)
  2. An ambulance tiering agreement with an area emergency medical service provider (Res. 2319)
  3. The Tree Board’s quarterly report

Council members will also give updates on various boards and community groups, including the Board of Health, Ogallala Community Hospital and Health Foundation, the Library Board, YMCA, Chamber of Commerce, West Central Nebraska Development District, Keep Keith County Beautiful, and the Western Resources Group.

The meeting may adjourn into closed session if needed, as allowed under Nebraska law. Copies of all reproducible materials to be discussed are available for public review at City Hall.
