Starbucks Workers United, the union organizing Starbucks baristas, announced stores in 45 cities will strike beginning Thursday. The cities included are in St. Louis, New York, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, San Diego, Dallas, Columbus, Ohio, and Seattle. More stores are prepared to join if Starbucks doesn't reach a contract agreement with the union, organizers said.
Starbucks confirmed that the vast majority of its U.S. stores would be open and operating as usual Thursday.
