Lincoln, NE –Douglas Dahl of Grand Island won $120,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

Dahl purchased his winning ticket at Fat Dogs Truck Stop at 3310 Platte Rd. in Grand Island. The ticket contained five plays for the September 22 drawing, one of which matched that night’s winning numbers 13, 22, 29, 31 and 36.

He’s been playing Pick 5 just about every day for years and his persistence paid off.

“It’s about time,” Dahl said.

He’s not the only lucky one in his family, back in July, his son won $100,000 on a Scratch ticket. Dahl jokingly pointed out that his win was a little bigger.

Even though he’s hit the Pick 5 jackpot, Dahl said he’s going to keep trying for it.

“I already got my tickets for tonight,” he said.

Nebraska Pick 5 is Nebraska’s unique Lottery game: all the proceeds from Nebraska Pick 5 stay in Nebraska, and all the winning tickets are sold in Nebraska at Nebraska Lottery Lotto game retailers.
